The wine pressing center

Our wine pressing center is one of the largest private centers of the Marne Valley. The first pressing machine was installed in 1893, which was an abundant and exceptional harvest year. What a long way we have come since these early days! Today, 4 lateral membrane pressing machines, 3 of them with a capacity of 8,000 kgs and the other with a capacity of 4,000 kgs, are now part of this installation.

Several key figures :

  • - 28,000 kgs of grapes are pressed every 4 and ½ hours
  • - Each year a surface area of approximately 60 hectares of vines is pressed for 45 vine growers
  • - A skilled team of 8 to 10 people work the presses during the entire harvest time
  • - Between 100,000 to 120,000 kgs of grapes are delivered everyday to the wine pressing center
  • - 2,500 cases of grapes are manipulated daily
  • - 750 hectoliters of must are removed each day by tank trucks
  • Thanks to the ownership of the wine pressing center, which boasts a quality certification, our House can benefit from this modern and efficient tool.
